Welborn SAXON--Talbot Co., GA, Chambers Co., AL

"Welbourn" SAXON married Frances E. L. SMITH in Talbot Co., GA on 17 Dec 1838.

Is this the "Welborn" or "Wilborn" SAXON who appears in 1840 Chambers Co., AL?

1840 Chambers Co., AL
p. 201, #25
Welborn (Wilborn?) SAXON
2m 0-5, 1m 15-20, 1m 20-30;
1f 15-20, 1f 60-70 (0 sl)

The only other SAXON I know of in 1840 Chambers Co., AL was on page 218: Archelaus SAXON (b. 1797); son of Davis SAXON (b. ca 1769) and Polly EDGE; g'son of Samuel SAXON (b. bef. 1745) and Elizabeth DAVIS; grt-g'son of Samuel SAXON (b. ca 1699) and unknown YANCEY(?).

Does anyone know anything about Welborn SAXON before 1838 or after 1840 (assuming that both references above are to the same person)?

Ron Head (Montgomery, AL)
