Since my wife's mother was a Savoie and direct descendant of Francois and Catherine LeJeune, I have many colatteral Savoie/Savoy lines in my database.

I have that Rosalie Savoie, b. Cir 1739 at Port Royal, Acadia - d. Cir. 1794 in LA, was in LA by 1766, and that she married Pierre Barteau/Berteau in Donaldsonville, Ascension, LA in 1766. I do not have any information on their children or his parentage.

Rosalie Savoie was one of eleven children of Charles and Francoise Martin; Charles Savoie was the s/o Germain and Marie Breaux/Brot; Germain Savoie was the s/o Francois and Catherine LeJeune.

Francois Savoie/Savoy was purported to be the son of Thomas Francois, the so-called Duc of the House of Savoie/Savoy, but I have never seen any actual proof of this claim.

Hope this bit of info helps in your research.
