Since our last items Grandmother Oates has passed to the great beyond. She was buried in the Asbury Cemetery. All was done that could be done but God relieved her of her suffering. She leaves one son and four daughters, besides a host of grandchildren. She will be sadly missed in this community where she has lived for two years.
This is 1 of the 2 Death notices for Malinda ' Linny' Margaret Saville Oates. I found the bottom half of the other but not the top. I will look around more.
I have not been able to figure out who her SON is? I thought from the census that she only had daughters with Peter Oates who dies 1880 to 1900 period.
