My wife is the greatgrandaughter of Emsey Catherine Oates. Emsey father was Peter Oates- his brother Isaac Oats was the father of Joseph William Oates Emseys 1st. husband. Emsey B: Aug 1879 D: 1961 in Winchester, Va. Her 1st. husband J. W. Oates B: Sept 1876 D: Oct 8, 1912 in Inkerman, Near the Bean Settlement East of Moorefield, Hardy Co. Emseys 2nd. husband I believe is a Russel L. Walker buried near Arkansas, Hardy, Co. Limmie Margaret Saville Oats died near Rio, on the Hamp Hardy, Co line. She is buried along with Emsey, and Joseph W. Oates at Asbury Church near the Bean Settlement.
