See, I didn't know about that "wildcard" search thingy.
I looked up that Census and looked at it-and sure enough the HEAD of household was actually George W (Probably George Washington) Savill.
I talked to my dad and he said that it was common to change the spelling of a last name by one letter, especially if you were trying to hide from someone (which is, from the stories I'm told, rather likely in George Washington Saville's case.SUPPOSEDLY he was a 1-eyed travelling salesman and everywhere he stopped, I have relatives.)
The story goes he died at the age of 101 coming out of a whorehouse in Baltimore and is buried there.Who knows how much of these stories are true!
