I am also interested in the use of Servington as a middle name in your family tree.The nearest baptism for a william at rattery is in 1655 son of Richard of Bulkamore.This william married mary yarde at Kingsteignton in 1673 and their ancestors are still farming in South Devon.There would be no Servington ancestors in this line but the name was mainly used by the Shilston savery's of Modbury.

My 2nd Cousin Robert Savery of Lincombe speaks Highly of your father's genealogical ability and I understand you are at least the 5th generation that tried to prove a link between the Totnes saverys and the cornish Saverys.Maybe as more records become available online we can prove something they couldn't C.J
