I have hesitated to get involved in some of these issues until I was more certain of my facts.I agree with you on nearly every point you have made in the several follow-ups that you have done recently, except one. There was a difference between two brothers and whether it was a fight or just a movement to different areas with different accents that caused the change, I can not say.The fact is, tho, that after Jacob Savacool of Bucks County died in 1782, his eldest son William (would have been about 22 years old) became exec of his estate.
Elizabeth, the wife and mother of Jacob's children was still living. The youngest son Isaac, there were only two, who was 14 at the time petitioned the courts to appoint him a guardian, which they did- Jacob Appenseller, who I believe was the husband of one of his sisters. This was 1782.In 1790 Isaac bought property in Hilltown, PA and then sold it in 1793 and left Bucks Co and went to Franklin County, Pa.I have been able to trace him and confirm he is one and the same person who fathered Isaac Sufficooland Henry Suffecool whose heirs are still using that name in many instances and do not even know about the relationship with Savacool.
My great-great grandfather definitely considered himself to be Francis Savacool.I have it in his own handwriting, however, he can only be the Henry Suffecool, son of Isaac, brother of William and son of Jacob, who also was born on that same day and month in 1819.In tracing this information, I have found so many different interpretations of what the written name actually was, but if I could see the actual document, it was usually actually SAVACOOL.I have not seen the actual tombstones in Bucks County, but many of those of William and his family are stated as having been spelled with a 'b'.
I will contact you another time when I have more difinitive information on this subject.
I do appreciate all of your good work. You have been a big help in giving me direction so many times.I have looked in depth both at Wilhelm and Jacob because I wasn't sure just which side of the family Francis was from but I am today.I do continue to tracr both sides, tho.I am looking now for a J Savacool family of daughters who welcomed my uncle to PA when he was a soldier in WWII.I have their picture and names and a copy of J Savacool's obituary without a date.He was a Luthern minister.
Thanks again.
