Hi Laura,

Nice to read your note :-)

The simple truth is that Savacool came from Savelkoul, because Savelkoul is pronounced Savacool. Accent etc caused some to mistakenly start to spell savacool as Savercool...and Heck, maybe there is a "Flemish" simularity to SAVERCOOL, but not to SAVACOOL and Savelkoul... Savacool is not FRENCH ! Gee, I thought the Flander's were Hommer Simpson's Neighbor... ? (just joking)

I think the very first individual that started to spell SavAcool as Savercool and continued to do so, was John V Savercool. Then peoples accents took over..GEE, I even spelled it as Savercool in school as child for fun a few times...easy to put over on people.. Basically, all were SAVACOOL at the start, and the fact that people make up the story about two brothers fighting just proves it. Anyway, as I mentioned in the Replies above and below; the fight story is a human trait to make up stories that seems to fit...
