I am looking for information on Francis Marion Savage b: 1829 Cumberland, Kentucky, d 1863 Tennessee (Civil War) He was married to Mary M. "Polly" Carpenter. They had a son "Christian Ellis Savage. I am trying to find out if there were other children born of this union and any information on the parents of Francis Marion Savage, my great, great grandfather. I am trying to trace back to the grandfather that came over from Ireland, or so the old story goes. Family legend has it that the original Irish spelling was "Savadge". The family line I have so far is as follows:

Christian Ellis Savage
Marion Dote Savage
Bert Thomas Savage
Coberta Vanda Savage - Tucker
