Kate I don't have a direct connection here. I do have a suggestion on where to look.
Moise (Moses) Sauve m'd Margaret Ann Woodruff in Sanilac Michigan. Two other brothers also went to Michigan about the same time a Moise did from Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
As the other two brothers went to other parts of the state their last names where changed to Sophy and Sopha.
Moise's line with Margaret carried an Agnes for at least two generations and maybe more. If you have access to Sanilac records check on her parents as this may be her lineage.
Again this is just an idea.
