Sauve in Ontario & Quebec

I've been helping my boyfriend do further research on his maternal grandfather's branch of his family. So far, he has the following information which has mostly come from the 1901 and 1911 census' (he cannot find the family on the 1881 census so far). Does anyone have any information on the following?

his grandfather is "Ted" Sauvé born 17 January 1827 Ottawa (Nepean), Carleton, Ontario, Canada. Married Jean Flannsbury(? spelling may be incorrect).

his great-grandfather was one of 2 brothers:
Alfred Sauvé born 18 November 1900 Nepean, Carleton, Ontario (*most likely)
                                   or
Francois Sauvé born 7 July 1899/1900 Nepean, Carleton, Ontario

his great X2 grandparents were Francois-Xavier "Frank" Sauvé born November 1867 or 14 October 1871 Nepean, Carleton, Ontario, Canada (depends on which census is correct) and his wife Elizabeth (maiden name unknown at present) who was born 18 January 1873 or 1874 in Ontario. They had the following children: Francois Sauvé, Alfred Sauvé, Lina Sauvé, Eugene Sauvé and Garthie Sauvé (*probably incorrect spelling of her name...) by the time of the 1911 census.

his great X3 grandparents were Francois-Xavier "Francois" Sauvé born about April 1843 in Quebec and his wife Mary (maiden name unknown at present) who was born about 1845 or 1847.

Thanks for all your help!
Maggie Barron
