Addie Sauve' Hamilton

Seeking information on this woman...she is listed on my great great grandfathers death information as his mother. His father is listed as Benjamin Hamilton. All three were born in Canada. My great great grandfather is John Hamilton who was born in 1861 in Canada. By 1870 they are living in OHIO. I think Benjamin died at a very young age from typhoid in nearby Indiana-was a farmer. I am not sure of what happened then to Addie.

John was married on Aug 17, 1884 to Mary Anne Earegood in Paulding Co., Ohio. They lived there, in various parts of Michigan and also Minnesota. He is buried in Fergus Falls, MN and she is buried in Dinner Creek Township, MN.

To add to my problem I have heard a family story that the surname is not HAMILTON but really Langlois-and changed due to someone murdering or near murdering the stepfather in retaliation for him hitting the mother.
