Thanks for the info.I'd be glad to get whatever you have.I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were not some black folks in our ancestry.One Sauve on Garden Island,Ontario,Canada right next to Kingston,Ontario married a black women.I've found a few in the tree so far.Along with English,Irish,Scottish,native americans and whoever else was around.Seems many of our ancestors were blind as far as colour is concerned.Probably a good thing.
Many Sauve's(Sova's,Sovey,Sovie,Sophy,Soffa's)in Michigan came from what is now Southeastern Ontario and western Quebec.The names were changed by the folks recording them.
