There were several families from the Sauve line that came to Bay City, may worked in the lumber industry. The first came shortly before 1850. There were the sons of Pascal Sauve & Angelique Rochbrune, the family of Jean Baptiste Sauve & Marcelline Jullet who settled in Pinconning & Standish, the family of Francois Sauve & Marceline Leroux and the sons of Pierre Sauve & Marguerite Milard. There was also the family of Julius Sauve & Marguerite Granville who settled in Huron Co.
