In Reply to: Saum, R.F.&Mary Talbot& daughter Ida May by Roberta Marshall Harrison of 170

Beginning in January 2001 I have located & made contact with the sole surving child of Ida May Saum & George Edmond Hendershott. My aunt, Lois (Hendershott) Lindshield lives in Lindborg, KS. She knew that her brother, Claude Eugene Hendershott had changed his name to Kenneth James Marshall when he left his first family in Kansas & went to Calif. That was where he met & married my Mother, Helen Margaret Hanson, under his new name on Oct. 11, 1939. I was born to them as Robera Ann Marshall in Hollywood, CA. Lois said that her brother continued to use the Kenneth Marshall name until he died. I have also made contact with my half-sister, Barbara Jean (Hendershott) Neal in Selbyville, DE, his daughter from his first marriage to Valasta Delight Tate. My half-brother and full brother to Barbara, Rexford Gale Hendershott died on Sept. 25, 1999 in San Francisco. He was survived by a son, Rex Walter Hendershott of Newton, KS (who I have made contact with), as well as two daughters, Reesa Schmid of Cherryvale, KS and Janna Hatcher of Topeka, KS. I have also made contact with the 3 first cousins from my father's brother Ray Melvin Hendershott, and another first cousin, the daughter of brother Everett Winton Hendershott. There will be additional contacts with the other first cousins, children of Lois in the near future. My life long dream of always finding my half-sister has not only been realized, but I have found out more about my father's family and ancestors than I ever dreamed possible. My words to all searchers:
BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS....Those who reach touch the stars!
