Hi again,

The middle name of my James is Robert. Accoding to the notebook my grandmother gave me, James Robert Sauls returned to Florida where he lived with his son James Martin Sauls until his death. He was buried by his father, JD Sauls, in Crawfordville, Florida.

There are some conflicting information, however, in this notebook from my grandmother. The Wyoming county WV marriage Record has James Robert (JR) Sauls born in 1840 Jefferson County, KY, the son of James and Sarah Sauls. In later censuses, he lists his home state as Georgia. On another page, he was born in Crawfordville, Florida. Sorry, I just realized this. It also notes that James Robert Sauls enlisted in the Roll County East 5th Florida Infantry on February 14, 1862.

This notebook was compiled by Carl Jackson Sauls in 1995. There was a Charles Ed Sauls who provided the information on the Florida Sauls.

Hope this helps,
Tina Sauls Richardson
