Obit; Dove Beatrice Saul Hammonds,90, of the Shults Community passed way Wednesday, July 27,2005,at Idabel,Ok., She was born to Richard and Myrtle Smith Saul on December 20,1914,in Cerrogordo,
Dovie was an accomplished homemaker and was affectionately know as Maw by her family and friends. she loved gardening, cooking,sewing, quilting and flowers. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God and was a life time resident of McCurtain County Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rober R. Hammonds in 1978; her grandchildren , Michael Hammonds, Jodie Butler, James Ray Hammonds, Patricia Whisenhunt and Eugene Hammonds.
Maw leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughter in law, Robert Jr."Bud" and Lavonne Tollison Hammonds,William "Bristol" and Peggy Hammonds, and Richard and Jennie Hammonds all of Shoults community. Mack and Annice Hammonds of Sherman, Texas, and Tilman and Lois Hammonds of Ft. Towson,Ok., daughters and son in law Katherine Hammonds Gray of Idabel,Ok., and Earlene and Thad Gills of the Shoults Community; sisters Irene Marvel of Wisconsin and Geraldene Friend of Idabel; a special friend, Cecil Austin of Idabel; 26 children; numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the Conley-White Funeral Chapel with the Rev Jim Brown officiating. Interment will follow inthe Redland Cemetery.
thefamily will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 29, 2005, at the funeral home.
