Hello All, I am a genealogist, and an avid antique radio collector. This summer I bought a console radio, or floor model radio in Watkins Glen, NY. I am rebuilding it right now, and noticed the the name SAEURS (spelled like that) etched on the chassis and speaker, which is an old repairmans way of keeping track of a dissasembled radio. Also, it has the name DUKE and the numbers 042051 written on the chassis. Could this be a military ID number? It is a TrueTone 5-band console radio. I know this is silly, but I like knowing the history of the radios the I collect, and any help is most appreciated!! Have a great day and much luck in your research!
