Greetings. No, my family moved to a farm outside Pittsburgh (an hour drive out) when I was young. And I have moved far to the north so frankly I have had to learn a lot about Allegheny City to learn about my Sauer family and all the distorted spellings.
As far as I know they have maintained the same office and warehouse complex in Lawrenceville. You can google Sauer Inc. and find their website. They actually started on Chestnut St., northside (Old Allegheny City) I have never seen but I understand that one Sauer house 1860-1890 still stands on Avery St. And I believe the old house/tavern/plumbing company building if still on Chestnut. If you contact me offlist I would be happy to send you a Google map of the Sauer places I know. email@example.com.
I have a Sauer ball cap in a closet but I am not career connected. Although the gene doesn't wander too far I also am in construction but heavy/highway vs that inside stuff. I guess I, like muy father, preferred big trucks and tractors and lots of room after being on the farm.
You can find the address for the Diocese on the web too. I would be happy to help if you have questions.
Lake Placid, NY
