My father was born in Alabama and raised in Mississippi. However he joined the Air Force and moved away.He lost his southern accent and taught us to pronounce it SO-shay.All relatives in MS say SO-sure.Growing up military I lived everywhere and heard everything, most common is sauce-seer.I am a chef, and yes our wonderful name does mean sauce-maker, or lead chef.
