Thomas Satterwhite Noble was my great-grandfather. He married Mary Carolyn Hogan. My grandfather, a Chicago dentist, was TS Noble II. My father, still kickin' in Colorado at 90 years old, is TS Noble III, my brother Tom in New York State is the IV, my nephew in New Jersey is the V, and his son is the VI Thomas Satterwhite Noble. I have a booklet or two on TSN I that gives more background, but do not have it to hand.

When I get organized I will post more particulars about TSN I and his ancestors, as we have always wondered where the "Satterwhite" came from.

My father is also an artist, but has a far different style than his famous grandfather. He likes to carve wood at this point in his life, and is very prolific and proud of it. I have one of my great-greandfather's charcoal studies of the woods hanging in my living room.
