Ah, very interesting. I sure wish Goldie had told us more about her sources. I know she did make at least one trip to Adrian, MO, in 1963, and got some names and dates from cemetery records there. But I'll bet there was an informant who gave her a lot of this data, and I have no idea who it was.

She actually did have a date of birth for Chester Boyd (your Chester A.?), but she shows him as b. 28 Aug 1892 at Joplin, MO - so, 9 years younger than your Chester A. Makes you wonder if they are the same person.

Well, I'm putting your data "in the book," and we'll see what else we find out as time goes on. It would be fun to go down to Adrian, Butler, Ft. Scott, etc and look at records. I will be in KC a couple of times this fall, but I have so few days and so many people to see, I doubt that I'll have time to get down there. I might get to spend some more time in that part of the country after the first of the year.
