I am descended from James D.'s youngest son Jesse Franklin. James D. was the son of James Satterfield, Jr. (often referred to as James W. because of his mark) and Elizabeth (unknown but probably Bridges). I have seen Hiram listed as one of his sons before but I don't have a clue as to who decided this and what they based it on. I would put the odds of this being the case at very close to zero. I have some possibilities for Hiram's father but nothing definate.
