It would have been part of the probate proceedings after Marshall died. I don't have a copy of either the will or the proceedings. What I saw was a notation that Amos Satterfield had been paid for traveling (?) miles to prove Marshall's will. I don't have my records with me and will try to remember to copy down the details for you when I am able. The milage was roughly the distance he would have traveled if he was with his Grandfather on Beaverdam Creek in Newberry County.
