Seeking the other families who may have moved from Reynolds Co., Missouri to what became Garvin Co., Oklahoma in 1880 or 1890's. According to a worldconnect gedcom, James M. Satterfield moved his family from Reynolds Co., MO area to Pauls Valley, Garvin Co., Oklahoma where he died 1891. His wife was a Bradshaw. Did they move with other families from same area of Missouri to Pauls Valley? James served with four Watkins/Wadkins brothers in the same 63rd Enrolled Militia in 1864 in Missouri; later two of the Watkins brothers moved from Wright-Pulaski-Maires Counties area to Reynolds/Shannon Counties area by 1867 after the Civil War. Jesse Wadkins moved his family to north Texas/southern Oklahoma area about 1884. Did James Satterfield also move about the same time with his family to the area? Later there was a marriage with a Satterfield widow with Jesse's grandson.
James M. Satterfield 'volunteered' for the 63rd Regiment Missouri Infantry, Enrolled Militia, at Cuba, Missouri, on September 10, 1864 and appeared on the roll at Cuba, MO on Jan. 20, 1865. His age: 26; occupation: farmer. Blue eyes, light hair, light complextion; height, 5 ft. 8 in. Born in Reynolds Co., Missouri.
