Barbara,
I'm descended from Willis and Nancy Sater Joiner myself. Here's my lineage:
***** Willis Joiner Jr. - Nancy Sater
**** Benjamin Granville Joiner - Elizabeth James Itson Nichols
*** Lettitia Jane Joiner - John Richard Felch
** Bertha Lucetty Felch - John Prosper Stevenson
* Carlton Delmaine Stevenson - Vera Grace Spray
(* how many great grandparents.)
I have reason to believe that Nancy Sater Joiner lived well into the 1900s. Willis and Nancy's daughter Eliza C. Joiner married William J. Stephens born about 1864 according to Census Records. I'm still doing research on this side, as I have found Nancy S. Joiner on the 1880 Census with Willis and his daughter Eliza C. Joiner living in Galena, Jasper County, Missouri here on this record from Ancestry.com;

It list Willis at age 76 and Nancy at age 42. On the 1900 hundred census I found Nancy S. Joiner living with the William J. Stephens family, William being the head and it list Nancy as his Mother-In-Law on the census provided. The town of residence is Galena, Jasper County, Missouri. Nancy is listed at age 63 and her daughter Stella Joiner is living with them too.

Again on the 1910 Census Nancy Sater Joiner is living with the William J. Stephens family and it lists Nancy as the Mother-In-Law. She is listed at age 72 and Stella isn't found on this census the only daughter living with them is Eliza C. Joiner Stephens listed at age 43. The town of residence is Central, Jasper County, Missouri.

As of to when she died I'm still trying to track that down. I've seen some records through saying she could have died in the 1850s I believe that to be incorrect unless I am but this is what my resources are providing me. I'm going to make a note of this in the Joiner Family forum on this site too.
