The following Bible information was provided by Ms. Joyce E McDonald of San Antonio, Texas in December 1990:

"This information was written by Belle Satcher Douglas, daughter of James Wm Satcher, son of Minnis Satcher. This info was copied from a family Bible owned by Henry M. Satcher"

Amos Watson Satcher's family
Elizabeth Satcher              born       July 14, 1805
Ellis Satcher              "        August 22, 1807
Cherry Satcher              "       Jan 14, 1809
Hannah Satcher              "       June 3, 1810
Lois Satcher              "       Sept 25, 1811
Minnis Satcher              "       Mar 11, 1813
Nancy A. Satcher              "       Dec 6 1815
Ira Satcher              "       Oct 29, 1817
Henry Satcher              "       Nov 22, 1819

Papa said the Satchers came from Wales and cousin Henry's brother (Papas first cousin said the same)"

Estate papers for Amos Watson Satcher Box no. 52, pkg no 2183 Film # 162264
December 1842, administered by sons Ira H. Satcher and Henry M. Satcher (Hannah Satcher relinquised right of administration to sons Ira and Henry)

Hannah Satcher received                     $1809.13
Turner Watson (wife Lois Satcher)               447.28
(unclear) Spann (wife Cherry Satcher)               447.28
Elizabeth Satcher                             447.28
Nancy Satcher                             447.28
Minnis Satcher                             478.58

Nothing listed for two administrators. A note in the papers says there were 8 children. Neither Hannah nor Ellis are listed as receiving distributive shares. Ellis did participate in the estate sale. This raises two possibilities: 1) Hannah was dead at the time of the estate admin. and Ellis did not receive distribution as he may have owed the estate
