Charles Sass[?date of birth/died 1867] and wife Dorothy Louise Hildebrand[1832-1913] left Germany in 1867. The ship was 'leaking' and the passengers helped as they made their way to the next port. They arrived Plymouth, England and Charles and son Gustav age 10 died there of typhoid fever. Dorothy and the other children[Albertina Louise, Augusta and Karl/Carl] went on to America- Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She married 2)Frederic Devantier and had children, Albert & Johanna Devantier. Does anyone have more info on this family? Have been told that Dorothy's parents were bakers in Berlin.
