Hello again Paul,
We certainly are cousins, a few times removed!! I don't know if you have access to the New England Geneological Society, they have a paper by Kellogg and Threfal that is quite complete from Richard Sawtel to Oliver and Jacob. The history of Springfield contains quite a bit of material on Oliver and his family. Daniel, along with his sons Oliver and Jacob were the first settlers in Springfield Vt. I have been to Fort #4 it is well worth the visit. Also if you go to Vernon, Vt you can see about where Fort SARTWELL stood, and there is information on Jemima SARTWELL there also. If your name is SARTWELL they treat you like a celebrity!! by the way, they have photo's of Fort SARTWELL.
