Now I have a big question!I have been investigating migrant enclaves in Mexico for the past month, and I was wondering, since the information I have found has left me stuck!I was wondering if the German Colony of the Mirador Hacienda made by Karl Sartorius ever survived?I know that the colony or the settlers arrived, about 200, from Germany into his hacienda, and I also know it was not a total success! But I have not read that every member of the colony left!So is there still a small German colony by the hacienda where people live in half-timbered houses, speak german, make and eat german food, speak german, and keep many german traditions alive in Veracruz? I only know of the French colony in San Rafael-Jicaltepec and the Italian colony of Huatusco (Near El Mirador), so does this German colony exist or left some German imprint in the area like arquitecture or something?Or do you guys know of any other places in Mexico where there are German colonies/enclaves in Mexico like there are in Brazil, Chile, Venezuela, Argentina, etc...??? Pictures or anyhting else are welcomed, my e-mail is [email protected] I would be really pleased if you guys helped me, for I am trying to write on this subject later on, and I am writing a report on this for November!Thank you!
