A.G. Sargent was born in Mississippi in 1844, I don't know where. His family moved to Tyler county Texas in 1851 and he apparently lived in that area most of his life. He enlisted in Speights B. which later was known as the 21st Texas regiment in 1861 and served until Gen. Lee surrendered in 1865. He married Julia Ann Spell of Lafayette Parish La. and they had three sons and I think One daughter. He died in the home of one of his sons in 1933 in Vidor Texas. This is all the info I have.
