emmerson, samuel, wf mary sargent, former widow, rejected, cont. line. (h.h.) soldier married mary philbrick on 5 dec 1777 at hempstead in rockingham, n.h. widow married 2nd to charles sargent who died 29 march 1810.
carpenter, elijah, wf sarah sargent, former widow, rejected, ct. line, applied 1837 windham ct. age 81 resident of thompson ct. soldier married sarah younglove, 3 july 1780, soldier died 5 may 1795 and widow married 2nd to samuel sargent 10 jan 1796 who left a few months later and was never heard from again.
comegys, cornelius, wf catharine, md. line. soldier was born 4 july 1758 in md and lived in kent co., md at enlistment and in 1778 moved to phila, pa. and there married catharine, d/o jacob baker, esq and his wife hannah on 11 oct 1794. soldier and his wf lived in baltimore, md. from 1804 to 1812 then moved back to phila. soldier died there 10 sept 1844. widow applied there 14 may 1860 age 83 and she died there 25 jan 1861. in 1860 3 children were mentioned, towit, julia a., wife of john sargent of louisville, ky, ella m. gilmer, a widow aged 59 of phila., hannah b. mason, a widow age 64 who was living with the widow. it was stated that soldier's bro. was in commn of a co. with gen. washington.
