I am working on searching for my mothers family. Her last name is Sargent (Sargeant). Her father Karl Sargent (Sargeant) was born here in the United States, in New York but his father Ernest Sargeant moved to the United States in 1911 from Trinidad & Tobago. On passenger lists his name is spelled Sargeant. His last address in Trinidad was with his father John Sargeant. He has brothers one of which lived in Venezula. I have found an Edgar Hillaire Sargent and a Litchfield Sargeant. I also know that they were close to a Gaskin or Heath family also from Trinidad & Tobago. And Ismay Gaskin had a brother who also moved to Venezuela. If anyone can help me piece together more information or information may be compatible please let me know.
