I am looking for information on John Sargeant born circa 1775 in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, England. His Father ran a Draper's shop in that town. John and two brothers ran a business in the hosiery and ribbon line based in Leicester. (cf. 1835 Pigots Directory)
He married Catherine Potter in April 1810 in Tadcaster, Yorkshire.
Catherine was born in Tadcaster in circa November 1779.
Her Father was John Potter (1728-1802) who ran a Draper's shop in Tadcaster and farmed Wingate Farm also in Tadcaster. Her Mother was Ann Hartley (1740-1805)
