Mendy,
I have been told that my family had come from Sesseri,Sardinia.(I may be spelling Sessari wrong) My Great grandfather (Giovanni Zara) came to the US in 1908. My grandfather Albert has recently past. I can remember my Great grandmother's(Maria) maiden name but I think it was similar to Melas. My Father's name is Victor. I now live in Mission Viejo, Ca USA.
If any of this information is valuable to you please write to my e-mail. I would like to know if this fits any of your information. I travel to several places in the world for work. I am planning to be in Europe in July.

Take Care
