Hi Gary,

I've been searching for my mother's lineage and my grandfathers as well. Mom's maiden name was Maria Perla de los Santos (dob 1924) and her family came into the states in late 1920's setting along the Texas coast. I asked my family about our ancestors and have found distant cousins (some my mother actually remembered) in the south of Texas who also bear the name of de los Santos and was told some family kept the Santos-Coy surname some of them left off COY when they came to the states and some of them just dropped SANTOS and kept the name COY.

I am interested in finding out more about my family heritage and you are the first I have found who is actually engaged. So let me know if can help and see if there are any links. I am in the National Geographic Genographic DNA project currently and am interested in seeing if there are any other de los Santos related to me out there.

Sharon
