Dear Felix:
The oldest male member of our Santos line would be, Gilbert Guzman, my first cousin, the son of my mother's oldest sister, Jovita. Gilbert is married to our second cousin, Elvira. Her mother was the sister of my grandfather, Santiago Santos. My grandparents, Santiago and Maria Delgado de Santos only had daughters, no sons.
It seems to me that Elvira would be a good candidate for having her DNA done because she has a direct de Santos line, daughter to mother.
Can the DNA still be accurate for our Santos line if I can convince my cousin Gilbert to have a DNA done. I was especially curious about our de Santos line because my grandfather had green eyes. He had one sister with green eyes and the other two sisters had blue eyes. My mother was told by my grandfather that we have Italian and French ancestors.
Wouldn't that be a coincidence if we were related through our de Santos line ???
Gilbert and Elvira know more about our family line than I do. Gilbert made out a de Santos family chart for me that goes back to our maternal great- great- grandparents.
I am hoping by having my DNA done it will clear up some of the mystery of our family line and by having Gilbert's DNA it will clear up the rest.
Thanks so much for listening. Betty J. Pribble
