Cyndi:I went home for Christmas, Trinidad, Colorado.I spoke with my mom and she told me my uncle Sam Santistevan, (Quirino's son) really wanted a picture of his Tio Juan and when I told her I had one she was really happy.I am going to send it to her so she can give it to him.He is 97 yrs. olf (my uncle Sam) and is in the Trinidad Nursing Home.My dad, (Benedito Santistevan and y Uncle Sam were the only sons surviving the Santistevan name.I had a Uncle Tony who died in World War II he was a pilot in Germany and died in that war in the 1940's.My Grandpa Quirino and Grandma Piedad were devasted when that happened. That left my dad, Ben and my Uncle Sam as the only surviving Santistevan brothers.I sure would loke to know more about my great uncle Juan and Pablita, I used to hear my dad talking alot about Vermejo Park where he grew up and worked in the mine as well.He used to haul props with my Uncle Sam and Grandpa Quirino and Uncle Juan for $1.00 day. They sure worked hard back then. It's been such an uplifting experience talking to you via e-mail.Any other pictures you have of Great Uncle Juan Santistevan would be appreciated.
Your long lost cousin (I think) : )
