Hello! My name is Raymond Santillan and I was born and raised in Colorado. I have just recently changed my last name from Ramirez, but it should have been Santillan all along. My Grandfathers name was Simon Santillan. He was from Delicias Chihuaha. I have family all over Mexico from Juarez to Monclova. I'm not sure if I'm spelling all of these right so please forgive me. The reason for the name change was because when my father migrated to the US he used my grandmothers maiden name Ramirez as his last name, so I was born with the Ramirez name. I changed my name last year to Santillan before I got married so I could carry my grandfathers last name on to my children, thus returning back to my true origin. I would need to contact my father to get more info about my great grandparents and their origin. I know one thing for sure is that my grandfather Simon Santillan migrated to Chihuaha. I vaguely remember my father saying he was born in Central Mexico! I also know that my grandfather had a child from a previous marriage and she lives in California somewhere. I don't know her name nor where in California she live, but she'd be my Tia! I'm not even sure if her last name is Santillan. I had always wondered if Santillan originated from Spain because my Grandfather had blue eyes! My father has also told me that my great-grand-mother had blond hair and blue eyes. If my Tia is out there then email me! Talk to you all later!
