I am the descendant of Lemiah Christopher Columbus Adkins, the younger brother to your Lewis Davis Adkins. Their parents were Zaccheus Frank Adkins Sr., and Piety Prudence Sansing-Adkins. The family left Henry County, Georgia circa 1852 and migrated to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. Several descendants still live on the original land purchased by Piety and her son LCC. There is also an Adkins family cemetery. Please feel free to contact me via email <> and I can provide you with family group sheets. The Adkins family is a well documented family with documentation contributed by several descendants. "The Adkins Family" book by Barney Hunter (a Lewis D. descendant) is a good source.
