I believe that my great great grandfather, Benjamin Thurmond Sandidge, (there are several BTS you know) left Albemarle County Virginia about 1810, might have traveled through Scott County Virginia--not sure..and then moved to Franklin County.I believe he knew the Martins from Albemarle County. According to the Census, their second son Giles was born in Tennessee abt 1802..I do not know what county in Tennessee, Benjamin Thurmond Sandidge would have
lived in during the first early years of his marriage , but am guessing Scott County...or Grundy...if it was not Franklin County.I do know he and Mary Elizabeth married in Wilkes COunty North Carolina. Please tell me how you are related to the family...JCM
