I'm still trying to figure out Billie J who is mentioned in the last census entry that you posted. William Sandlin was my great grandfather and moved his family out to california when Joe Sandlin (his son) was quite young.
Could this be my great aunt Juanita that I've heard about from my Dad? My dad doesn't know her married name now (according to him she's been married about 3 or 4 times) but he did tell me that she had two daughters. Billie J, what a mystery!
I too can't get further back than John Harrison and Sarah L. I do have the parents of Lou Ella Jackson(perhaps its Luella or Louela... I've found it a few different ways), the wife of John Sheridan Sandlin. And they were all from Kentucky... I guess I have a darn mobile family tree.
