I think I may be able to connect our family trees! My father's mother was Tamara Sandler (b 1903 - Gomel, d 1959 - New York). Her father was Borys Yankel Sandler (b ?? near Gomel, d 1921 in Gomel) and his father was Yankel Sandler. I know this from a property deed that I have, which one of my Ukranian friends was kind enough to translate.
If you can share some of your information with me, I would greatly appreciate it. I will provide any further connections once I know what fits.
By the way, Tamara Sandler had many brothers and sisters (I've heard as many as 10 mentioned by older relatives in the past), so if we are related, there are many other cousins out there too.
