I have a Sandiford line on my father's maternal side. Location: South Carolina and Georgia. Although I'm reading a book titled "Tombee, Portrait of a Cotton Planter" in which a Robert Sandiford is mentioned coming to S.C. in 1966 from Barbados. That's about all it says about him that I can see. An English colony was "planted" in 1670. The former governor of Bermuda, William Sayle, led the English settlers to Port Royal via the Bahamas. I have not been able to connect Robert Sandiford to my Sandiford line. Maybe he connects with your line. My line is: *James Henry SANDIFORD born December 08, 1795 in St. Helena Island, SC, and died January 02, 1868 in Dark Entry, GA (near St. Mary's, GA); *James Milton SANDIFORD [b. December 03, 1833, Barnwell County, SC; d. July 30, 1864, Petersburg, VA.]; *Joseph Ebenezer SANDIFORD [b. September 27, 1861, Barnwell County, SC; d. 1939, SC.]; *Irene Winona SANDIFORD [b. July 08, 1898, Waterbury, CT; d. September 02, 1986, Annandale, VA] Notify Administrator about this message?
