Dear Janet:

Thanks for your reply. My dad was a Sander, and I have traced my family back to the Hannover area in Germany back to 1859 when the first of my Great-grandfather's five brothers' came over to northeastern Iowa, and settled in Allamakee county, and they also settled in southwestern Wisconsin. Two settled in Iowa and 3 settled in Wisconsin.

There was a red book out there, and I was hoping to trace other lines through it. My line I know fairly well, since I was born and raised with the Sander family in northeastern Iowa, Allamakee County. The book was commercially done and perhaps a company did it. I saw it once at my Mom's house and I should of borrowed it then, but since then it has been lost.

So, I was wondering if any people with the surname of Sander had seen a book like that?
