I have information about a Hill Sandeford, 1747 VA - c1773 NC, and also his nephew Hill Sandeford, b. 1772 VA who probably also died in NC. They both descend from William Sandefur/Sandeford 1707 VA - 1755 VA.

I believe that several descendants of William Sandefur/Sandeford, 1707-1755, went to Georgia, including some to Burke County, GA.

The 1820 census of Burke County, GA (from USGenweb Archives) has:

Wm. Sandyford
1M 10-16, 1M 45 or over; 2F -10, 1F 26-45
(I think he was born in Edgecombe/Nash County, NC, probably a son of William Sandeford and Phereby Whitehead, and grandson of William Sandefur/Sandeford 1707-1755)

N. T. Sandyford
1M -10, 1M 26-45; 1F 16-26
(I think he was Nathanial Sandeford, b. 1789 VA, son of Samuel Sandeford 1750 VA - 1836 NC, grandson of William Sandefur/Sandeford 1707-1755).

I firmly believe Hill Sandeford, b. 1806 in Georgia descends from William Sandefur/Sandeford 1707 VA-1755 VA.

I have accumulated lots of records on this family, but there are still gaps.

I would very much like to communicate with you via e-mail.
