I could not locate Anastacio Sanchez parents, either because census records were burned(happened a lot during that era) or he was adopted(which also happened a lot). I had a similar problem when trying to locate my family line and found it helpful to visit church parishes in the area where my relative was born and ask to look at their baptismal records. You would be surprised at how much information you can obtain that way. You would also be surprised how much info you can get by "knocking on doors". I mean in these small towns older folks that have lived there all their lives can tell you a lot and sometimes you can hit the jackpot when searching for information on your family.
