Thank you for ur response.
I'm still puzzled. My line goes thru Tomas de la Barrera then Juan de la Barrera. Is this Juan de la Barrera the Seville merchant that went back to Seville. Or is my lineage of the same Santiago de la Barrera lineage u have posted on Somos Primos(we have a lot of common older ancestors)? These names Juan and Tomas appear in ur lineage. I have tried the Lds site, Lds family center and ancestry. Ancestry says I have the same lineage as ur Santiago but I recieved no confirmation on lds site. I have seen the Mier records (library) but I didn't find any of these names. The descendents of Santiago Barrera Garcia and Maria Salome r the same as mine.
