I have been able to see and copy some of the Norwich (now Huntington) Mass. town records for the period 1790 - 1811. There is no doubt more to glean, but I offer the following birth records, and a few comments:

Sampson Births Norwich, Mass 1792-1810

------------------

CHILDREN OF SYLVANUS AND MEHITABEL "SAMSON" Norwich, Hampshire County, Mass.
(Mehitabel Curtis may have been 2d wife of Sylvanua – there is the record of a marriage intention of ‘Sylvester” Sampson and Betty Wakefield of Chesterfield on Dec. 4, 1794. Sylvanus of Norwich m. Mehetabel Curtis of Chesterfield, Dec. 29, 1796. I do not yet have date or location of deaths for either Sylvanus or Mehitabel.)

(From Holbrook Research Microfiche of Norwich/Huntington Town Records, Fiche 36, original page 9.

Joseph . . . son of Sylvanus and Mehitabel Samson. . . b. Sept. 12, 1797
Rebecca Curtis . . . daughter to . . .b. Dec. (probably 13 or 15), 1798 or 1799 (??)
Sally . . . daughter to . . .b. Feb. 3, 1802
Mary . . . daughter to . . .b. Feb. 10, 1804
(M. John Collier in Chesterfield, Mass. Dec. 5, 1822. The couple lived and had children in VT, NY and Ohio. Mary d. Mantua, Portage County, Ohio in 1850 and is married in the Pioneer Cem. there. John remarried, but is not known to have had children by 2d wife. He d. in Gratiot County, Mich, 1882, where oldest son Lyman was living.)

(Probably) Luther . . .son to, b. Aug. 19 (or 9), 1807
Sylvanus Hall . . . son to, b. (Probably) June 21, 1809 (Possible January is meant)
(Probably the individual of that name living in Chardon, Geauga County, Ohio at the 1880 census.

(Probably) Adam Hamilton . . .son to, b. (probably) June 26, 1810 or 1811 (poorly written record)
Mehitabel (although it seems to be written “Mahitabel”). . .daughter to . . . b. May 29, (probably) 1812

All the above surnames are written “Samson.”

Sylvanus's name may be spelled "Sylvenus" in a couple of instances above - writing hard
to decipher.

Fiche 36, original page 35 has records for:

CHILDREN OF KENELM AND MARY "SAMPSON" Norwich, Hampshire County, Mass.
(Records of the Isaac Williams family of Haddam, Conn. and Norwich, Mass. indicate “Molly” Williams, b. 1769, married Kenelm Sampson. I have not located official records yet, and Kenelm’s wife is given as Mary in the following birth records in Norwich.)

Abner, . . .              August 23, 1792
Mercy . . .              Sept. 29, 1794
Elizabeth . . .               Oct. 11, 1796
Kenelm, Jr. . . .               Oct. 10, 1798
(M. Serepta Beswick; d. 31 May,1882, Munson, Geauga Cty., Ohio. Age 83y, 7m, 21d. This family was living near Christopher C. Collier, son of John and Mary (Samson) Collier, at the 1880 Munson census. )
Samuel. . .              Oct. 13, 1801
Alden. . .              Jan. 5, 1804 (?? Indirect evidence of “Mayflower” lineage.)
Celia (elsewhere given “Selia”). . . Apr. 24, 1806
Mary. . .              Feb. 1, 1809
Patty. . .                     Nov. (day scratched out) 181_

All the above surnames are written “Sampson.”

(The “p” in “Sampson” was added after original spelling in the records of Mercy and Elizabeth, and the 2d “s” in the record of Abner was also a later correction.)
