After reading this query I have a question. Is there a Johnston/Sample connection in this family? I have a James Johnston m Ann _____ with a daughter [unknown first name] that married a [unknown first name] Sample. This would be about mid 1700 to early 1800. James lived in Beaver co., Pa and died in same about 1813. Another of his daughters, Ann,married a John Glass. John's family lived in Brooke co., WV. Other names connected are McConnell, Strain with the Glass line and Marcus, Latta, Kirkpatrick, Riddle, and Sample with the Johnston line.
